THIS YEAR WE WILL HOLDING OUR ANNUAL LARA’S BIRTHDAY LAKE DISTRICT EVENT ON THE WEEKEND OF 12 JULY 2014

More details to follow but this year will be a triathlon challenge around and in Coniston. We will be taking over the beautiful camping location on Dodgson Wood campsite

There is room at the campsite for tents for
40 people/children.

Lara’s birthday always included camping at Wilds Farm so we think this will be a great way to remember, compete and celebrate all things Lara.

This  two day course  on Saturday 10 am to 3 pm and Sunday 12 midday till 4pm was taken by Aaron Fuest who holds the following qualifications:

1st Dan Yoshinkan Aikido
3rd Dan Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido
4th Dan Mugai Ryu Iaido
4th Dan Yoshin Ryu Jujutsu
The former Shebucho (head of the UK) for Nippon Budoin Seibukan a martial arts school based in Kyushu southern Japan.
(A Dan is a black belt , higher the number, the more advanced).

Aaron instructed us  on how to avoid potentially dangerous situations and how to defend ourselves if necessary.

The day was a great success. We not only had fun but learnt essential skills. We are hoping to run another course soon.
